This part of THOCP has
not been given a lot of attention and is to be honest waiting for someone
to be written. That someone needs to have a general grasp on what applied
software means and has some affinity with the history of computing.
In the meantime all suggestions from our readers concerning this section
are put here as we are somehow piecing this part together. So this chapter
is really under construction, any suggestion or information is welcome
